Since its June 2nd release The Sims 3 has sold over 1.4 million copies on the PC and Mac. EA is calling it the "best selling PC launch in EA's history".

Impressive, but despite all this the game doesn't appear to be getting a warm reception from all its customers as evidenced by an average rating of 2 1/2 stars on Amazon.com
