Sony explains the PSPgo $250 price tag
By NutMan @ 8:42 AM :: 557 Views :: 5 Comments :: Article Rating :: PSP

The PSPgo has a smaller screen than previous iterations and lacks a UMD drive, but for some reason it's still $80 more than the PSP-3000. Why is that? Sony says its because "When you introduce a new piece of hardware you have the opportunity to say there is a certain premium that is associated with it, and we took that into account."

So basically, the PSPgo is $250 because it's new. Well, at least they're honest.

Why would I want the PSP go when my current PSP can play UMD games and downloaded Ps1 and PSP games? The PSP go can only play downloaded games.

This is stupid, granted Nintendo did the same thing and the ocean of morons went crazy over the DSi. Maybe, after Sony fails again they will restructure their R&D department and the decision makers to benefit the gaming public.

they don't even sell playstation network cards in the UK so every customer has to buy the downloadable games with their credit cards
