Ars Technica: PS3 and 360 price drops coming this Fall
Normally we don't post rumors, but Ars Technica's mole has proved reliable countless times in the past.
According to the mole, both the PS3 and 360 will be getting price drops this Fall. Sony will be launching the PS3 Slim this Fall and cutting the price of the system while Microsoft will drop the price of the Xbox 360 Elite to match the price of the current Xbox 360 Pro console. They expect the Pro console to be gone completely by July or August by use of some software bundles to help move the units off store shelves.
The Elite console with the 120 GB hard drive will become the new Pro level console after a price cut in early September. The usual Holiday bundle will be out in October, though the bundled games are not yet known.
Once again, this is technically a rumor, but Ars Technica's mole has been proven right so many times that this is worth posting.

I'm not convinced this is worth posting. A retard could predict a price drop in the fall for the PS3. And one only needs to cross that bridge to realize Microsoft would do the same. For that matter, we're likely to see the first Wii price drop as well since they are now on store shelves.
I think Ars Technica's Mole is named Captain Obvious.
In the future, don't post rumors. If you are going to post them, do so in the forums.

Hey Nutman, I guess I fall into that "retard" category. :) Thanks for posting this, I might be the 1 out of 1000 people that needed to see this. I don't troll the forums.
I've been thinking about finally getting a next-gen system. I thought about the cheapest 360 build and then buying a bigger hard drive on Ebay. PS3 certainly has the power, but their games are slowly being developed. It looks like I might get more bang-for-my-buck with the 360 Elite.
