Okay, so I got a good deal on this game, about forty bucks. I played the first one when it came out and I enjoyed it. I do agree with the common complaints with the first one, too much repetition, etc. However, Ubisoft was trying to do something original with the first and they have released nothing short of a masterpiece with the sequel. I haven't finished the game yet, but I have poured about twelve to fourteen hours into it and I don't think I'm halfway done yet! I have enjoyed almost every minute of my time with this game. The story, intriguing and mysterious and interesting. The combat, much more fluid and instinctive than before. And much more badass. And the cities. Oh my god. I don't know much about the Renaissance, but from what I understand, the Ubisoft worked very hard to make the game authentic to the period, and the result is magnificent! Obviously the game is not perfect. There are some times when Ezio jumps in the wrong direction off of a roof or something, but the game never punishes you for screwing up. And sometimes there are these dumb little quicktime events that happen in a cutscene for inane actions, like drinking coffee or hugging someone. This occurs very infrequently though. Once in awhile you'll see a little object clipping here and there, but overall the graphics in this game are stellar. Each mission is somewhat unique, and you have absolute freedom to what you want when you want in the game. One of my favorite parts is that you have your own small town/fortress and it's run down at the beginning of the game. As you earn money your can renovate your town and the more you do it, the nicer the town looks and more money comes back to you. There are tons of little side quests with real rewards at the end and each one is unique. The crowds are more believable. And the soundtrack, Wow! Incredible. If you liked the first one but felt disappointed because of its flaws, get this game. You won't be disappointed again!
